i loved your post over at jenni's!
you might wanna consider taking a great winter coat instead of lots of undergear and go with a fleece jacket like the Bench or Jack Wolfskin ones as well. Because you will be inside a lot i guess (museums, cafes, castles...) and you'll want to take of a layer or two off. that might not prove easy with undergear ;-)
i noticed having a laundry bag makes it a lot easier traveling with a backpack and keeping your worn/unworn clothes apart.
otherwise you seem like a much traveled person, you will do just fine.
have an amazing trip!

Sounds like a great trip you are planning! Here are some tips from my side: I always pack my bagpack using different plasticbags, one for shirts, one for underwear etc. this way I do not have to unpack the whole thing all the time, but only take out the bag I need. :) would also consider to take fleece instead of long unies! and for sure some shoes in which you can walk in snow (poland) but also rain (england). and try to pack your bagpack only max. with 15 kg, if more, you will certainly have a hard time carrying it around! Have soooooo much fun :)

What an exciting trip! Krakow is such a beautiful city! It has the largest town square in Europe :) I've travelled a few times to Poland in the winter and my best tip - layers, layers, layers!! You don't need to carry around a huge coat if you're warm from underneath :) I also agree with Kristina - pack light! It definately makes a difference! Happy travelling :)

Just read your guest post, and got excited because I'm doing a winter backpacking Euro-trip too! My boyfriend and I leave the day after Christmas for Dublin-Liverpool-Manchester-London-Paris-Amsterdam. My biggest concern was also the weather. Last time I backpacked in Europe was May-June of 2009. Good luck on your trip, and stay warm!! :)

Just saw your post over at Jenni's. You HAVE to get one or ten of compression sacks:

http://www.rei.com/gear/feature/search/Google/compression%20sack?s_kwcid=TC|13029|compression%20sack||S|p|6741206645&gclid=CI_trMeN_awCFWU0Qgod7xiQSQ

Well, tbh I would limit yourself to one or two. Too many just means that your backpack will be too heavy. BUT, you could always just pack an empty compression sack so when you guy things while you travel, you'll have a little extra space. It's what I did when I went to Greece!
