wreaths across america.

this was the second year i volunteered with wreaths across america at arlington cemetery for their annual wreath laying ceremony.

i was among 25,000 volunteers who helped lay an estimated 110,000 wreaths to honor and remember our fallen soldiers. it's always amazing to see so many people come together in support of such an amazing cause. i made sure to take my time at each headstone, to read the name and think about their bravery and sacrifice. the day was beautiful and inspiring.

It's so respectful (& also very sweet of you) to stop and read each name and remember their bravery.

I visited this cemetery with my family when I was little. I remember it being very overwhelming. When you're a kid, I guess you don't grasp the reality of it, like you do now. I'd really like to go back now that I'm older.

This truly is a wonderful cause. So many times veterans are forgotten. Thank you for taking time to help honor them during the holidays.
